The 14th Annual PMCT Student-Citizen Awards were distributed on April 22, 2010 at the Saxton Middle School. The evening began with the presentation of colors by the PMHS JROTC color guard. Welcome greetings were extended by PMCT President Paul Pecorale followed by opening remarks by the eveningÕs chairperson, Oregon LOTE teacher, Kathleen Murphy. PMHS English teacher, Christy Reinert performed the song "This is One of Those Moments" accompanied by Carl Hottinger.
The elementary, department and grade level awards were presented by Kathleen Murphy and Paul Pecorale. The "Eva Davis Memorial Award" was presented by Tremont teacher Maria Grimaldi. This award is in honor of former Reading teacher, Eva Davis, who fought a brave battle with cancer before succumbing to the disease several years ago.
The evening ended with the closing song "A Piece of Sky" performed by the PMHS Wind Ensemble under the direction of Band Director, Peter Randazzo. There were over 150 members of PMCT that were instrumental toward the success of the evening as volunteers serving on different committees to organize the event. PMCT congratulates all the student winners and thanks all the members of PMCT that helped make the evening special for so many.
